A Leader who will fight for us

Joel has the skills, education, and character we need in our next Assemblyman.

Upon graduating CSU Stanislaus in 2012, Joel joined the California Army National Guard. In 2017, Joel was mobilized for a year-long deployment as a Chinook door gunner in Kuwait and Iraq. Joel still serves in the National Guard, but believes he is called to do more for Stanislaus County.

While serving in the National Guard, Joel met the love of his life and future wife Jazmine. Joel and Jazmine have 2 daughters, aged six and one.

After graduating Thomas Downey High School, Joel attended Modesto Junior College, CSU Stanislaus, and finally graduated with a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from San Jose State.
